Marcia Neel currently serves as the Supervisor of the Secondary Music Program with the Clark County School District headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is in her twenty-seventh year with the district, the nation's fifth largest, and has led the music program to over 50,000 student enrollees in Secondary Music classes. Considered a leader in the field of music education, she has been elected to represent her peers as president of the Nevada Music Educators Association (two separate terms); president of the Nevada Choral Directors Association; and member of the National Executive Board of MENC, the National Association for Music Education.

In the spring of 1993, Mrs. Neel was selected as Nevada's Music Educator of the Year and achieved national acclaim when chosen as The 1993 Disney Channel National Performing Arts Teacher of the Year.
